We offer one-time or reoccurring donations via credit card or bank transfer online through Zeffy, a nonprofit that provides free donation transaction services to other nonprofits. Zeffy suggests an optional percentage to cover transaction fees, but you can select “Other” and enter zero for the optional contribution.

Did you know many companies such as State Farm, Country Financial, and Caterpillar will match employee and sometimes even retired employee contributions to White Horse? Visit this site to easily check if your employer has a matching gift program. If they don’t appear on the site, consider asking your HR department as well, especially if you work for a smaller privately owned company.

For donors over the age of 70 1/2, you can designate White Horse Academy as the beneficiary on your Pre-Tax 401K or IRA for any Required Minimum Distributions, directly through your broker or self-service online account. This process enables you to make a Qualified Charitable Distribution which allows you to avoid paying the income taxes you would otherwise owe on your RMD, and potentially provide you with double tax savings by claiming the QCD as a tax deduction.

Please consider transferring appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares to White Horse Academy. You may receive an immediate income tax deduction for the value of the securities on the date of transfer, no matter what you originally paid for them, and you will pay no capital gains tax. For example, if you bought shares of stock years ago for $3,000 that are now worth $10,000, WHA will enjoy the tremendous benefit of a $10,000 donation, while you pay no taxes on the stock appreciation and may claim a charitable tax deduction.

Additionally, WHA accepts donations from Donor Advised Funds (DAF) and transfers of Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
